I generally prefer the psychologic embrace of character driven narratives though when plot led stories defy conventional structures, while being thematically opulent to achieve emotional verisimilitude, then I enjoy their presence just as much. 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑩𝒍𝒖𝒆 (1997) is a plot focused tale such as this. Now, let's tackle this movie's worrisome component.
I met another wonderful creation. 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑵𝒂𝒎𝒆. (2016) is a non-linear plot driven film whose visuals are eye-wateringly beautiful while the story is fiercely hopeful despite a threat of imminent tragedy. Though this art piece about interlaced souls doesn't nearly reach the emotional resonance of 𝑨 𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑽𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆 for me, I am an admirer of this film which is no less skillfully made. 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑵𝒂𝒎𝒆. is a pleasant experience: thriving with charm, imbued with a symphony of thrills, and flowing with a current of affection.
Fortune led me to a masterpiece last night. 𝑨 𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑽𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆 (also known as 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑽𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒆) is an intimately scaled yet monumentally nuanced emotional and empathically psychological character-driven narrative where moments of piercing tragedy and painful healing are allowed to breathe. This is a multi-faceted manifestation of art which bravely and skillfully humanizes schoolmates who bully without excusing or sacrificing the horrors of enacting torment upon souls, much less romanticizing that behavior. Alas, no artpiece is without room to reach perfection so here come my nitpicks:
