Do you sometimes feel more lonely in a cheerful crowd than if you were alone? Even when the group you're in consists of people whom you know? Do you find that you love them immensely and you desperately want to connect with those individuals yet joining in the conversation seems like shynning up an ancient redwood tree? Do you afterwards feel as if sustaining your part of the discussion is like walking a tightrope from the precipice of that tree to another?
If so, do not be ashamed. Strive to let one of them know that this is your experience. The group won't ridicule you if they truly care about you. If they disparage you then love them still yet seek out those who will love you in return. If you do not feel lonely in a cheerful crowd then be mindful of those who appear that they may.
