Some Christians are so terrified of the number 666. I'm curious about how many of our fellow siblings in humanity have the patience to count the stars (I certainly lack patience) and what happens when they arrive at the 666th one. Do they blow raspberries at that poor gassy creation even if it is still alive?
If any are census takers then what happens if they arrive at the 666th human being? Do they whip out holy water from a side holster and suddenly spray it onto the unsuspecting soul?
And what happens if they have a Bible with at least 666 pages? If our spiritual family members arrive that page, do they frantically rip it out or do they quickly slam the scriptures shut, avert their eyes, and give a nervous whistle?
There is nothing wrong with the number itself and there is no reason to panic even if there was.
When it comes to seeing/hearing a portion of any message (whether it be from a scripture, a speech, a play, etc), it's important to realize the context of it. This means one has to know the entire text/speech from which that excerpt was taken, the history, setting, and culture it was written in, and the identity (including the personality), of the individual/s who create or were inspired to relay the message.
